BTCC rounds 1, 2 and 3 at Brands Hatch
At last the 2006 British Touring Car Championship got underway! Tom Chilton took pole on his debut for VX racing, but it was SEAT Sport who took the honours on Sunday with two wins from James Thompson and a third from Jason Plato. The weekend ended in contraversial style as Rob Collard was excluded from the results of race three following a clash with defending champion Matt Neal.

BTCC rounds 4, 5 and 6 at Mondello Park
It was Honda all the way in Ireland, with Matt Neal getting back to winning ways claiming pole position and taking victory in the opening two races - and taking the lead in the championship. But the biggest cheer of the day was reserved for Mike Jordan, who converted race three pole into a lights-to-flag win - his first in British Touring Cars.

BTCC rounds 7, 8 and 9 at Oulton Park
Team Halfords have celebrated two wins at Oulton Park, with Gordon Shedden coming through the chaos to win the first race and Matt Neal making a storming start from 4th to take victory in the second - and extending his championship lead. SEAT Sport dominated the final race of the day with Jason Plato leading a 1-2 for the team; and the day also saw Independents James Kaye and Mike Jordan on the podium!

BTCC rounds 13, 14 and 15 at Croft
Back to business for the British Touring Car Championship as the title race moved to Croft after the summer break. Jason Plato and James Thompson won a race each for SEAT Sport, but reigning champ Matt Neal kept his lead with a spirited victory in race two. You'll find all the news and results right here.

BTCC rounds 19, 20 and 21 at Snetterton
Jason Plato came away from Snetterton with two wins under his belt, but Matt Neal kept his dream of retaining the Championship alive with a victory in the day's third race. With Colin Turkington scoring a podium and keeping himself in contention, the title race is still alive with just three more race meetings to come. We've got all the news and reaction right here!

BTCC rounds 22, 23 and 24 at Knockhill
It was all go in Scotland as Matt Neal capitalised on his rivals' misfortunes, leading a 1-2-3 for Halfords and extending his lead to 53 points with just two meetings remaining. Meanwhile Fabrizio Giovanardi took his maiden BTCC victory, the 100th for Vauxhall; and while Jason Plato took a victory, damage to his car meant that he was forced to miss the final race. BTCC rounds 25, 26 and 27 at Brands Hatch
Jason Plato kept his title chances alive with two wins and a podium at Brands Hatch this weekend, though championship leader Matt Neal still has a massive advantage despite crashing out of the final race. VX Racing were celebrating as Fabrizio Giovanardi proved their Knockhill win was no fluke; and there was an emotional point-scoring return for Paul O'Neill. BTCC rounds 28, 29 and 30 at Silverstone
Matt Neal has become the first man since 1987 to successfully defend his BTCC title, winning the second of the three Silverstone races. With team mate Gareth Howell winning the other two it's been a great day for Team Halfords. SEAT are celebrating too, having clinched the manufacturers' trophy and seen Jason Plato fend off Colin Turkington for the runner-up spot. See here for all the news!
