Luck has got to change for Leason.......
Press release from NJL, 8 May Leason has had a particularly tough start to the season in the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship as he has been dogged with frustrating problems from the start as the Team try to develope the true potential of the Lexus.
Unfortunatley the Thruxton meeting saw both cars in their new colours out of action in race one as they both suffered heavy missfires from the start with Leason's engine packing up completley during the race. But Leason is still very positive and adamant the Lexus will be competitive and will show true pottential very soon as the Team move forward with there development on the cars. Leason added " I got to the point I think I needed a lucky charm to have in the car with me or something, it just seems unbeleivable the bad luck I'm having at the moment. It does start to get to you, but also makes you a stronger person to want to go on and do well. All I want is get out there and race for my Team and all the people that support me... We are having a hard time at the moment and it is very frustrating for the whole Team as we have to be very patient with our developement to get the package right, which we are so close to doing. The missfortunes of developing the car in the public eye and on race weekends is not ideal, but is what it is in the short time we have had". "We do know we will have a very strong package behind us very soon and the four week break now will help us acheive this and be ready for Croft". |
