BTCC Driver Profiles - Luke Hines

Son of Formula Zip founder Martin Hines, Luke started karting at an early age with great success before moving into Formula Ford. He made the transition to front wheel drive seamlessly, taking the Production championship in 2003. Away from the track, Luke is a keen DJ and a massive fan of dance music.
Career highlights:
2005 BTCC, becoming the third driver at SEAT Sport Struggled with the car's weight at Donington but bought it home safely in all three races. The season was full of disappointment, but he did at least bag a win at Silverstone. Finished the year 9th with 87 points.
2004 BTCC with VX Racing, Vauxhall Astra Coupe. Last year's production title is rewarded with a seat in one of the top works teams. Success came early in the season when he headed a VX 1-2-3 in round 5 of 30. Finished with 115 points in 10th place.
2003 BTCC with Barwell Motorsport, Honda Civic Type R. A highly mature and consistent performance which led to 6 wins and the production championship.
